Christmas Season

Happy Holidays! While some of you may just be setting up your Christmas trees and decorating your houses with lights, Lindsey made sure to have our tree and lights up before Halloween. We are so excited for the Christmas season and can't wait to hang with our families for the holiday festivities. We get two months of Christmas this year because the Andersen Christmas will be postponed until the end of January so Elder Jed can join us (can't believe it's been two years!). I posted a few pics to give an update on our holiday season thus far. Happy Holidays everyone!

We enjoyed an enchanted evening of lights at Temple Square.

Although he may look like a tough little Shih-Tzu, Gino can become a bit cowardly around other dogs. But after a few minutes of sniffing, Fenway and Gino played in the snow until their paws were frozen.

This sight can be seen on any given Sunday at the Andersen home. Cam, Bear, Linds, and Gino warming up to their artificial log of choice, a DURAFLAME!

Anyone who reads our blog may get the assumption that Linds and I are overly obsessed with our little boy Gino. Well, you may be right. One of Gino's favorite winter activities is to run from one end of the yard to the other while dragging his face through the snow. We can't keep him away from the snow. He will literally try to stay outside until he can't stop shaking from the cold. But don't think he stops there; after warming up for a few minutes by the fire, Gino is back at the door ready to go out again.

FIRST 10K!

Lindsey ran her first 10K last weekend with her sister Camie and girlfriend Jess! The three of them showed up to the race a little late and ended up sprinting a mile from the parking lot just to make it to the starting line in time, ha ha. After finishing the 6.2 + 1 miles of the race, the girls decided they are ready for their next big challenge, a half marathon. Way to go LINNY!!

i am in love with warm weather, Popsicles, beaches, sun-kissed noses,

and everything else that goes along with summer.

i feel weird with a grown up schedule and making grown up

decisions. we were talking the other day, and occurred to me

that if we wanted to, we could just move anywhere or take a

vacation anywhere and there would be no one to stop us. (we

do have jobs, but still). it made me feel so free and grown up.

weird. anyway, off the subject, right now Gino is digging in his toy

bowl and pulling out every bone he owns and scattering them

all over the floor. he is so random ha ha. i love his little brain.

this post is for my Nicholas who is in New York right now and wanted me

to blog while he was gone so he could have something

to read. Hi babes! i miss you already!

We are DONE! (at least for a little bit!) Nick with a

degree in Business Finance from BYU and me a

degree in Culinary Arts from UVU.

It is a little bittersweet. I will really miss seeing all of those

faces I see everyday! I am so grateful for the

relationships I have made in the past 2 years. All the

chefs and my class family! I am so lucky to have learned

from the very best!

BUT... on to the next phase of our lives. I feel that we

are so grown-up. We are starting our careers! Woo!

Now if we can just sell our apartment in Provo, we

can spread our wings a little wider...Grrr

my cutest little munchkins came up a couple weekends ago and we had the best time. my brother-in-law Heinz is kind of a big deal in the ballroom dancing world and he came up to perform in the byu ballroom dance concert. they had 50 years worth of alumni dancing and let me tell you, they still got it! Heinz was front and center with his sister and partner Keisha. they were so spicy and sassy. we loved every minute of it.

we also loved playing with the babes. they get cuter and cuter each time i see them. we feed them lots of candy and let them be crazy with us so i'm sure their parents love when we take them :] what are aunts and uncles for right?

oh my gosh! i am never going to get over what an amazing night April 6, 2010 was! it was seriously an out of body experience. so nick and i stood in line for about an hour before they let us in, but the company was pretty entertaining if you know what i mean. so we got into the venue and saw all of the merchandise! then camie came and met us and we were serenaded by holly miranda (mentioned below). after holly, was this crazy crazy band i can't even remember what they were called but they were really sweaty and dancy ha. THEN... Teg and Sar. They are better in person i think. they were so witty and charming. they didn't play my favorite song but i didn't really care. tegan was the talkative one and sara was quiet but awesome. we were sandwiched by a bazillion lesbians and nick wanted to beat one up ha. i just know my love for tegan and sara has grown and so has nick's. even though he still doesn't like to listen to them all the time, he appreciates their talent. Muah nick. i love you and that was the best birthday present anyone has EVER given me! (and he bought me a sweater that says tegan and sara on it! Woo!)

there will always be a special spot in my heart for

nick's dad. even though i have never met him, i am

so grateful for him for giving me nick. it was his

birthday on april 4th and we wanted to pay a little

tribute to him.

i can't say too much about him, but i know by the

stories i have heard and the person that nick has

turned out to be, that he is an incredible man. his

family is so amazing. they are the perfect example

of a traditional italian family and the most important

thing to them is family.

i love him and cannot wait to meet him some day

My new favorite Musician!!! Holly Miranda! She hasn't left my

car cd player for the past week and it has been a beauty driving

to her. She is so talented and inspiring. I know I am not a

singer and never wanted to be a singer but Holly made me want

to be a singer haha.

She opened for Tegan and Sara a couple weeks ago and speaking

of Tegan and Sara... They get their own post.

But seriously those of you who have my similar music taste...

Asian Craze

nick is not a big fan of Asian food to say the least. he has to

prepare himself if we ever decide to go to Chinese or sushi etc...

but lately

that is all we have been eating! i know weird! good for me

though because he rarely lets me indulge my love.

first. The Thai House in Lehi.

loved it!!!

the restaurant is set in someone's old house.

it has a beautiful big fireplace, but the lighting is

horrible. i think there was one guy running the

whole show...hosting, serving, cooking, busing...

much pao!

for dessert the chocolate cake is delicious and also

to end the asian month with a bang i catered an

engagement party and the bride's favorite food was

so i work in the mornings and nick works at night. i pretty

much hate this arrangement. i come home from work, say

hi, then bye, and have the whole night to myself. i try to think

of cool stuff to do to keep me busy and productive, but my

house can only be cleaned so much, and i tried running, but

i hate it!!! my toes are always painted now, i am reading a lot!

etc....

i am doing my internship right now which combines work

and school and i was used to having my days chuck full.

we are moving in a month so getting another job would be

pointless. any suggestions on what you stay at home momma's

do? i think i am a workaholic, or i have A.D.D.

It's our little Alessia's birthday today! We love this

little munchkin so so much!

The Kirchhausen's came up this weekend for Dance

Sport and it was so much fun. We made forts, went to

build-a-bear, watched super sassy ballroom dancing,

and went to Nickel-Cade.

We are suckers for ambiance and Nordstrom Cafe Bistro has

sexy ambiance.

As much as I love Nordstrom

I had never eaten there until last week.

It was awesome!

We had just eaten a couple of hours before so we shared

an arugula chicken pizza. The Pomme Frites (french fries)

were SO good dipped in their kalamata tapenade.

Our friends got the Cuban sandwich (my favorite sandwich!)

and the turkey club. Their turkey club has green beans in it!

Crazy! But Cool!

Definitely going to shop at the Fashion Place Nordstrom so

I can visit the Cafe Bistro a little more often.

I cannot say enough about how much I love love my family.

They are by far the #1 most important thing in my life

and that is how it will be forever. We went up there again this

weekend so I could teach a cooking class and to celebrate my birthday.

I will post pics from the class soon. It was so much fun!

My mom made my favorite meal and the mango sticky

rice from Benja's. It was to die for. Thanks mom!

So we have this tradition that is getting more and more

embarrassing the older I get. We go around the

room and say what we love about the birthday person.

Everyone said the nicest things about me and so now

I think I want to write one thing about each person in my

family that I love the most! Of course there is a million

reasons why I love each one of them but I will try

and narrow it down.

Dad:

I love how full of energy you are. I love that every

person you develop a relationship with, wishes

you were their dad. So many people tell me how lucky I

am to have you as my dad and I could not agree more.

My dad is friends with all of my friends and it makes us

all a big happy family.

Mom:

I don't even know where to start. I am so blessed to have

my mother in my life. I call her everyday and she is really

my best friend. She knows how to handle any situation

and helps me through some traumatic ones.

(I am a pretty dramatic girl). She gives me a sense of comfort

that no else can give me. I love you mom.

Camie:

My best girlfriend! I don't think I go a day without

talking to her. Seriously I am not much of a phone talker but

I can't go a day without venting to her and hearing what

is going on in her life. We laugh and cry together.

When she is sad, I am sad. When her heart is broken,

my heart is broken. She drives to my house about

twice a week even if we have nothing to do.

As long as we are together, we feel happy.

Jeddy (Elder Sexy Prince):

Jed used to pin me down and wouldn't let

me up until I called him a "Sexy Prince" ha ha ha.

He is on his mission in Alabama right now. I love

him so much. He is the best example of who I want to be.

He is so Christlike. He sees the good in everyone.

I think everyone thinks Jed is their best friend because of

how he makes you feel when you are with him. He can

make me laugh like no one else can. All the sisters

just adore him. He has been a perfect brother.

Erin (The Baby):

Oh my favorite rasta hippie chick! I don't know where

she got her chillness because the rest of us are pretty intense.

I love Er bear because she is such a sweet person inside

and out. She has the best heart. She has the most gorgeous

long blonde hair. She drives the boys crazy! She laughs

at everything I say and makes me feel really funny.

She has the most adorable laugh. She is the perfect "baby"

for our family.

Gino:

I love Gino because he is my baby. He loves me

unconditionally. He makes me smile by just looking at him.

I love him because he can't bark, cry or jump. (He is special)

Nicholas Jay:

I saved the best for last. My baby Nicky!

I really believe that Heavenly Father has a plan for

us and makes sure we follow our plan. I was going

to go to Utah State after my first year at Dixie

to attend their culinary program. That year they

had decided to discontinue their program

so I stayed at Dixie another year. After I graduated,

I decided to stay in St. George for the summer for some reason.

I met Nick in May. CRAZY! I am so grateful I

followed my plan and was there to meet the love of my life!

I love our life together and who we are together.

I love our goals and how he makes me feel. He is so handsome.

I am seriously the luckiest girl ever! I could go

on forever but I will save it for another day.

I have been involuntarily thrown into the cake business.

Not that it is my business or anything

It was not a goal of mine to start making wedding cakes,

but when I started school at Dixie, I promised my

roommate that I would make her wedding cake.

So about 3 years later, I got a call from that roommate

ready to collect on her cake. I was super nervous because

I hadn't been through the advanced pastries class yet.

But nevertheless, I was going to make it. It kept me up

at night, and I would have nightmares of what crazy things

could go wrong.

I did it and it was really not as bad as I thought it would be.

Once you've done one cake, people think you are an expert.

I was volunteered to do a few more cakes but I am grateful

for this because it has given me great experience.

I will have a few more to add to my collection in the

next few months. Wish me luck!

The Critics Say YES!

Of all the gourmet cuisine I have had the privilege of consuming,

I can truly say pizza is still one of my favorite foods if not

my favorite food...Nick and I are always in the mood for pizza.

So a few years ago we were introduced to this lovely little gem

by my beloved Kim and Abe, and since then, have become regulars.

Cafe Galleria is located in Midway, and has the best wood fire

pizza we have ever had. It is extremely authentic.

Our favorite pizza would be the pepperoni pizza with kalamata

olives. The Italian sausage pizza is also delicious.

If you order a Caesar salad, expect to get a very traditional one.

I love anchovies in a Caesar dressing but eating a whole anchovy

does not float Nick's or my boat.

After dinner in Midway, we go to Dairy Keen in Heber for famous shakes!

Is it so cold in Provo all of the sudden? Days like today make me wish we

were back in Virginia Beach (in the summer), where it is the perfect

temperature on the beach everyday!

Nick and I disagree about this, he is more of a chilly California beach boy and I like it scorching hot on the beach.

This weekend we got to go up and see our baby! He has lost his

baby body and is such a big boy. As much as I could eat him

up now, I sort of miss him being this size

I can't imagine how much I will love my human baby if I love my puppy baby this much!

Speaking of babies again...Tonight I made Dutch Baby Pancakes

with strawberries!They were so good!

This is the second time I have used this recipe

and both times they have turned out perfect. I highly

suggest trying it!I put powdered sugar on the top and

sauteed some stawberries with sugar to

make a glaze and it is delicious!

Food Critics

Ever since attending culinary school, going out to eat most of the

time is ruined for me. I analyse everything about the presentation,

how quickly our meals come out, if it is cooked correctly.

I love when I am pleasantly surprised with a perfect experience!

Like I had at Benja's on Valentine's day

So we went to Gloria's Little Italy in Provo a few weeks ago.

It was a Friday night so it was hopping. I had heared mixed

reviews but we wanted to make our own opinion.

I ordered Chicken Marsala and Nick ordered Chicken Parmesana,

two classics. First, our meals came out way too fast for a busy

Friday night. I think all we waited was a total of 8 minutes.

I know the tricks of getting a meal out quickly but from

order to table, that was too fast.

Second, my fettucini noodles had absorbed any sauce they

once had.My entree was hot from the heat of heat lamp, not

from a saute pan. I know how to make the perfect Chicken Marsala

and this was far from.

Nick was disappointed with his Chicken Parmesana but I won't

go into detail for him.

I should listen to my classmates warning! Next time I will.

The babies were so much fun this weekend. I don't know

why we still call them "the babies"

because they are getting so big. Probably because

they will always be our babies

no matter how big they get. Muah.

On Monday we all went over to the park and played baseball and soccer and tag and any other game we could make up.

I am still sore and it is thursday.
Don't worry, I am working on getting back in shape.

Alessia an I were inseperable the whole weekend.

Then we went to Pirate Pizza and played all the games.

We are not very good gamers. Not that I am ashamed of that.

The pizza was really good surprisingly.

For Valentine's day we bought a new bed to go with the new headboard I made for Christmas! We are so excited about it and I will post pics of it as soon as I find the perfect bedding to go with it.

So we made each other homemade items to celebrate the actual day. I made him a book of all of our love notes and a collage of our love..

This is two days in a row for blogging! I think that is a record for me. Nick wants me to start blogging more because I hate writing in a journal. Here's for trying to be a good wife...

Our V day...

was the best one yet!

so we hadn't been to STG for Christmas yet so we

decided with our siblings that this weekend would be the best.

We got there Saturday morning and opened presents...

So fun! I think we should have extended

Christmas every year. We then went to check out a new

consignment store. I don't even remember the name but

it is not worth the time, even though the outside is very

inviting. For dinner we went to Benja's. We all got different

entrees and shared. It really was the best meal I can remember

having! It was a beautiful culinary experience. Everywhere we eat

I always want to go peek into the kitchen,

but since it was Valentine's

I stopped myself.

After that we went to a swing dance!.

There is a picture to come from the dance.

Since our brother Heinz is

a world champion ballroom dancer and our sister is a professional

ballerina, it was hard to keep up hahahaha.

I don't think we have laughed that hard since...I can't remember.

In the middle of bouncing around the dance floor we

would have to stop and contain our laughter.

It was picture perfect, framed from the 50's.

Lindsey and I are RedBox junkees. It's safe to say that we are obsessed. We can tell you which RedBox locations are empty, full, and which ones will always have the newest releases. Here is an update and critique on some recent flicks we've watched.

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs: loved it, felt like a kid again.

Land of the Lost: goofy, yet, one of Will's better movies because its not terribly crude.

The Fantastic Mr. Fox: we actually saw this in the dollar theater and had low expectations. Turned out to be a pleasant surprise of decent entertainment. Definitely worth paying a dollar for.

This Is It: Lindsey enjoyed watching Michael dance and sing for an hour a little more than I did. If you wanna see Michael in action, watch his Moonwalker film from 1988.

Surrogates: Lindsey falling asleep while watching a movie is a nightly occurrence, but when I fall asleep, that's a big deal. Surrogates was pretty lame.

Four Christmases: absolutely hilarious, we laughed out loud the entire movie.

Terminator Salvation: man's movie. I could watch the terminators over and over, Lindsey definitely fell asleep in this one.

So again, thank you RedBox for making our lives that much more exciting.

A little update so I can remember this time in our lives. Nick is doing SO good in school! I am so proud of him. He has gotten in the 90's on most all of his tests and has been so dedicated! He is so so smart and I am so lucky to have married such a smarty pants. He is so much fun to live with. Since we don't see each other very much, it is super exciting when we get to spend a few minutes together. I love him.
I just switched blocks in school last week so I will have to post some pics from my last block. Now I am in advanced baking with Chef Diana. Let me just tell you...I have found my new idol! She knows everything! So far we have made chocolates and about a dozen different kinds of cakes. I am definitly a cook, but I am really enjoying baking! I will post some pictures soon.

So I know my blog is ugly. Today as I woke up and was getting ready for work I was thinking on how I was going to blog when I got home. I walked out to my car and there were CD's scattered around on the ground and I thought, why was Nick listening to India Arie... That is weird. I get in and the jocky box is open... Still didn't click. Then it clicked that we had been ROBBED!!! So I called Nick and he came down. They had taken our Tom Tom, all of my CD's (I am still packing them around and I'll let you know there were some gems out of the 300 that he stole) my little sister's camera that she so nicely let me borrow for an event (which I was going to blog about but now don't have those pictures), and my chef's hat!!!! Luckily they left our ipods and my knives.

It is only stuff and I am glad nothing more serious happened. I just wish there weren't creepy people out there that have to steal to get what they want. So just a warning... Even if your car is locked, nothing is safe in it anymore.

STG Summer (Part 1)

The above pics are all in a jumbled mess but I don't

have the time or the patience to fix them so please bear

Nick has forced me into the world of climbing, bouldering

and hiking. I can say that I enjoy climbing with rope

and hiking a little, but I don't understand the bouldering sport.

I need to feel accomplished after doing

an activity and I do not receive that satisfaction

after going side to side on a big rock.

Next would be my adventures with Nick's hair.

Nick is very particular about his hair and

trusts me to play with it.

And we matched perfectly for work and I love when

that happens. It has to be an accident or

Nick is super embarrassed. Muah!

So yesterday, our little baby was basking in the sun and decides he is a

little too hot...He plops down right under a sprinkler and doesn't move for

like 10 minutes. Who knows what goes on in this little guys head. All we

know is that he could entertain us all day long

Another Adventure Awaits.....

It seems as though our life unfolds in stages, and the next stage is taking place in the S...T...G. That's right, St. George; I am returning to the place of my birth while Lindsey is re-lighting the candle of her college years. We will be coming back to Provo for Fall semester, but it will be a much needed getaway from happy valley. Can we get an Amen that school is out; Lindsey finished at the top of her class, AGAIN, and I survived the Finance Junior Core.

As of late, I have been enjoying my time out of school by shredding the Wasatch Peaks with my mountain bike; who knew Squaw Peak could serve more purposes than one. Today was Lindsey's first Monday without school and she is happier than ever; she's been taking some well deserved relaxation by chillin with me and reading some Nylon Mag. Anyone seen "Bride Wars?" Definitely a must see; "The Day the Earth Stood Still" definitely weird and kinda lame, sorry Keanu.

Two Kids and a Dog

No we don't have two children, I was referring to Lindsey and myself. Has this semester absolutely blown by for anyone else? As fast as days have turned, Lindsey and I have still had time for some embarrasing moments (actually just me). If you're unaware, I work as a server for a local restaurant. The other day during a busy night, I was running back and forth to please some hungery Jazz fans; as I was turning a left corner towards my tables, my left foot slipped on a puddle of water and in the blink of an eye I was airborn. You know those moments in your life whether it be right before a car crash, slipping on ice, tripping down the stairs.......the moments where you recognize your mistake too late and for a split second, you have no control over what happens to you next.......this was one of those moments. I had to just let my body go and wait for the crash. Would this story be any more amusing if I told you my hands were carrying two plates of hot food and all my fellow employees were watching; yes it would. I was now on the ground with a bowl of hot Salmon Chowder covering my body and a Philly Cheese Sandwich spread out across the restaurant floor. I could imagine what everyone watching was thinking...."you are one pathetic loser"..."what a cluts"..."...."who hired this champ". I jumped to my feet and wiped off my face; how embarrasing. It's tough to recover after a fall like that, it does something to a man. Not a day goes by where someone doesn't crack a joke about that fateful day. It's days like this one where I'm glad to have a wife and dog that love me, even when I smell like soup.

A needed update

In relief society today they said that as busy as we are right now, we will only get busier as life goes on. I can't imagine my life any crazier than it is right now. With school taking up half the day and work the other half, it is hard to find time to do anything leisurely like blog. So an update on our lives...I switch blocks in school tomorrow and I am excited for Garde Manger! Hopefully I can whip out my artistic abilities from within and make some sweet fruit, veg and ice sculptures! The restaurant finally opened and is very busy and fun.... With school, work and homework, my days are jam packed and I look forward to Sundays everyweek to hang out with my sexy Nick! Whose life is also very busy right now. He has school everyday and is doing so well. He is interviewing for internships for the summer and our fingers are crossed for the one in Salt Lake. Although we would love to have another adventure this summer, we need a break! He works so hard and I just love love love him.

He wrote me a poem this week...

He also painted my fingernails purple for me today. What more do I have to say...He is my dream lover.

The Gino Effect

Gino is bigger, crazier, and better than ever. Although his little puppy face is gone, we think he is the funniest and cutest dog in the world. He just learned to climb up and down stairs, a huge feat for the little guy; it took him a while because of his stubby little legs. Mostly, he just scoots his bum down one stair at a time; going up the stairs usually consists of him getting a running start and slamming his face into each stair on the way up. We love you Gino.

I feel better today! This week has been crazy crazy with school and random work schedule so today I took a day off. It is so weird to just do nothing. Cam came down this morning to give me some awesome new product and we have just chilled all day watching movies! I love her! We can just do nothing and have tons of fun. Oh my cutest brother ever! It is hard to let him go! Jeddy has finally left on his mission to BIRMINGHAM ALABAMA...For those of you who know and love Jed, you know that this mission fits him perfectly! Camie and I have discussed this a lot and we finally understand why people make such a big deal about their bros going on missions. We have always thought "get over it. What is the big deal, they will be back..." It totally sucks! Jed is the only boy in our family and he is so witty and clever and talented and perfect. I don't know how we are going to live without him. I feel so protective over him. I don't want any of the other boys to be mean to him....I want to be there to beat them up if they are. And what about those big mamas and papas down in Alabama? My friends have come home from their missions and say stuff like..."I was seriously glad when people would throw glass bottles at me because I could hear them coming...You can't really hear when a rock is coming at your head!" What the heck!

I am so proud of him! He is such a good example. He is so obedient and has such an awesome testimony! He makes me want to be a better person and I know Heavenly Father will watch over him for us.

My little chef has been working and cooking 24 hours a day for the past three months....it's unreal at how good she is getting at this cooking stuff. I went to school with her yesterday, kinda like a take your friend to school day, and she was choppin..slicing..and butcherin...like an Iron Chef. Not only is Linds a great chef, she's by far the coolest chick to have around; always wanting to play rummikub, go out on the town (Provo that is), make hot chocolate, find new music to listen to, and just chill at home to watch our favorite shows. So this year for her birthday we went to the Hotel Cafe Tour and saw Meiko, Rachel Yamagata, Emily Wells, Kate Havnevik, Lenka, and Thao. Even though I locked my keys in the car right as we were going in, it was still the bomb! We have the best time together and its like we have never been apart.

Emily Wells or "Delicious Vinyl" is what we call this girl above. She is thinking about her girlfriend while she is serenading us. Oh well. Different strokes. All the girls that played were amazing! Wish everyone could have been there.

I am in love with school. Just look at what I ate for lunch today. I contributed the gratin dauphinoise potatoes that are hidden underneath. I am a proud little momma although my thumb may have gone through the mandaline while slicing those yummy potatoes. The one downfall of working with real food now instead of just baked goods is that I am getting new finger slices daily. I come home every day and nick inspects and bandages my fresh cuts. What a catch.

And this is me grilling up what you see above. My face is pretty creepy but the fire is exciting. I'm pretty sure some of my eyelashes were seared during the fun.

Having family night is our new goal, even though every night is really family night for us. We looked up an inspirational talk about love and played rummikub. I am a rummikub virgin so nick beat me everytime. I love him. He makes everything more fun. I will win next time.

I am in love with hot chocolate and today's cold weather gave me a good excuse to make some. I tried this recipe, which needs some work, but it still hit the spot. If anyone has an exceptional recipe they would like to share with me...I would love them.

Hot Chocolate

2 ounces unsweetened or semisweet chocolate, coarsley chopped

1/3 cup sugar

4 cups milk

In medium saucepan combine chcolate, sugar and 1/2 cup of the milk. Stir over medium heat until mixture just comes to boil. Stir in remaining 3 1/2 cups milk. I love cinnamon so add that now if desired. Heat through, but do not boil. The chocolate flakes with infuse into the milk as heated. Top with whipped cream or marshmallows or if your like me, add both.

I made a collage of my favorite material nostalgia(I had to specify material because if it was just my favorite things...I would only have a big pic of the wife...). The freedom striped boxing pants are actually mine and not Stallones; Sylvester has always had an identity crisis because we all know who the real Italian Stallion is. We are ready to be more dedicated to our blog, even if we are the only ones who look at it; it will be a good hobby. I have always had a hard time writing in my journal, so this can be an alternative; also, my mom just told me that you can have your blog printed out like a journal. SWEET! Problem solved.

PS. I love my husband...I have been wanting curved edges on my pictures forever and he just figured it out.

PSS. I love daylight savings time! I love that crazy feeling waking up and wondering why my phone says 8:30 and my clock says 9:30. The extra hour of sleep is also a plus.

We have been so crazy the past month doing so much fun stuff. Over Labor Day weekend, we went up to Park City and went biking, rode all the mountain rides, played games, ate the best food and had the best weekend ever! Nick's Birthday was on the 10th and he turned 23! He is so old...We went to breakfast at midnight with our friends Muriel and Lewis and their sister Eliza. Thanks for the idea chuck :) Nick really wanted to open one of his presents before he went to bed. In the morning he opened the rest of his presents...Then we went to the surf shop and did a little more birthday shopping before he had to go to work. I picked him up early from work and we went to this little Mexican restaurant called Guatalajaras. It was so yummy! I love you baby!
